The Commission for the Supervision of Business Competition (KPPU) handed-down its decision in the Pertamina logo case on 13 September 2006. Pertamina was found in breach of the law and fined for its unfair business practices. This is not the first time that PT. Pertamina (Persero) (“Pertamina”) has been involved in a case before the KPPU (see ILD 21/3/2005). The case arose based on reports (a complaint) about how Pertamina came to directly appoint Landor as its consultant to design the new Pertamina logo.
