In an effort to accelerate the development of the battery-powered electric-vehicle (“ Electric Vehicles ”) industry across Indonesia, the Minister of Industry (“ Minister ”) previously issued Regulation No. 27 of 2020 on the Specifications, Roadmap and Domestic Component Level Calculations for Battery-Powered Electric Vehicles (“ Regulation 27/2020 ”). [1] However, as the provisions set under Regulation 27/2020 required updating, the Minister has now issued Regulation No. 6 of 2022 (“ Regulation 6/2022 ”), which repeals and replaces Regulation 27/2020 and which updates various provisions that relate to the following specific areas: [2]
