Legal Framework on Thematic Geospatial Information for Land and Space Introduced

The Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (“ Minister ”) has issued Regulation No. 1 of 2023 on the Organization of Land and Space Thematic Geospatial Information (“ Regulation 1/2023 ”) in an attempt to provide various provisions that address the organization of Thematic Geospatial Information (Informasi Geospasial Tematik– “ IGT ”), which requires the management of IGT through land and space (“ Land and Space IGT ”) information system services that include database and information systems in line with certain standards. [1] This new Regulation has been in force since 20 January 2023.
