In an effort to accelerate equal deployment of doctors and dentists throughout Indonesia, especially to remote and rural areas, on 11 July 2013, the House of Representative (“DPR”) passed the Bill on Medical Education (“Bill”).From a regulatory perspective, the Bill provides a pathway to implement Law No. 40 of 2004 on a National Social Security System which aims to provide high quality health care services in clinics and mobile health clinics throughout Indonesia.
