The previous regulatory framework for licensing and registering work training institutes as contained under Minister of Labor and Transmigration DecisionNo. KEP-229/MEN/2003is no longer relevant in light of the current developments and needs of the sector. Therefore, the Minister of Labor and Transmigration has issued RegulationNo. PER-17/MEN/VII/2007to perfect the regulatory framework to bring it into line with current needs in the sector.
