The Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of National Land Agency (“Minister”) has issued Regulation No. 18 of 2016 on the Management of Farmland Ownership (“2016 Regulation”) to ensure more equitable welfare and food security for all Indonesians. [1] With this goal in mind, the 2016 Regulation sets out further guidelines for the management of farmland areas, specifically area limitations for farmland owned by individuals or entities, pursuant to the following regulations: [2]
