Management of Ministerial, Institutional, and Office Accounts - Budget Accountability

Some might consider this Minister of Finance Regulation as being 'too little, too late'. Nevertheless, the reality confronting the Government was overwhelming and the insistence of the State Audit Board (Badan Pemeriksaan Keuangan / BPK) of adding a disclaimer to all State Budgets primarily because of the bank accounts held by Ministers, institutions, and offices which have never been properly accounted. Furthermore, conservative estimates suggest that there is more than IDR 30 trillion (the equivalent of more than USD 3.3 billion) deposited in more than 4,650 accounts.
