Inefficiencies in the organization of the IMT-2000 cellular mobile network as a result of mixed frequency allocations has meant that the 2.1 GHz radio frequency is not being utilized as it was intended nor is it achieving the outcomes expected. In response to this the Minister of Communication and Information has issued RegulationNo. 01/PER/M.KOMINFO/1/2006to address the management of the 2.1 GHz radio frequency.
