Mandatory Reporting of Job Vacancies Through the Manpower Information System

With Indonesia continuing with efforts aimed at reducing the unemployment rate at the national level, the government recently reinforced a policy that is intended to improve the placement of workers through the job market through the issuance of Regulation of the President No. 57 of 2023 on the Mandatory Reporting of Job Vacancies (“ Regulation 57/2023 ”). Previously, the reporting of job vacancies was specifically addressed under Decree of the President No. 4 of 1980 (“ Decree 4/1980 ”), which is now obsolete due to its repeal and replacement by Regulation 57/2023.
