The President has issued Regulation No. 178 of 2014 on the Marine Security Board (“Regulation”) to implement Article 67 of Law No. 32 of 2014 on Marine Affairs (“Marine Law”) [1] which mandates the establishment of a non-ministerial government institution responsible for the safety and security of Indonesian waters, named the Marine Security Board(Badan Keamanan Laut– “Bakamla”).
