Marine Security Board Finally Established

The President has issued Regulation No. 178 of 2014 on the Marine Security Board (“Regulation”) to implement Article 67 of Law No. 32 of 2014 on Marine Affairs (“Marine Law”) [1] which mandates the establishment of a non-ministerial government institution responsible for the safety and security of Indonesian waters, named the Marine Security Board(Badan Keamanan Laut– “Bakamla”). [2]
