Mechanism for the Determination of Excise Tariffs for Tobacco Products Redefined

The Director-General of Customs and Excise (“ Director-General ”) has issued Regulation (“ Amendment ”), which amends Regulation of the Director-General on Procedures for the Stipulation of Excise Tariffs for Tobacco Products (“ Regulation 37/2017 ”).The Amendment was issued in order to improve excise administration services, as well as to accommodate technological developments and consumer demand as it relates to other tobacco products (Produk Hasil Pengolahan Temabakau Lainnya– “ HPTL ”), [1] by redefining the following provisions:
