The long-awaited Regulation of the Financial Services Authority (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan– “ OJK ”) No. 14 of 2023 on Carbon Trading Through Carbon Exchanges (“ Regulation 14/2023 ”) has finally been issued and came into force on 2 August 2023. Through the issuance of Regulation 14/2023, the OJK is now authorized to engage in arrangements, licensing, supervision and development relating to carbon trading through carbon exchanges. [1]
