Minister of Health Regulates Business Activities of Clinics Located in Special Economic Zones

In an effort to increase investment in Indonesia's healthcare sector and to provide easy access to healthcare services to the general public, including healthcare services that are offered in line with international service standards followed by foreign clinics, the Minister of Health (“ Minister ”) has issued Regulation No. 18 of 2023 (“ Regulation 18/2023 ”) on the Business Activities of Clinics Located in Special Economic Zones (Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus– “ KEK ”), [1] which also stands as an implementing regulation to Regulation of the Government No. 40 of 2021 on the Organization of Special Economic Zones (“ Regulation 40/2021 ”). [2] Regulation 18/2023 has been in force since 12 April 2023.
