Minister of Trade Introduces Integrated Regulatory Framework on Imports Policy and Provisions

In an attempt to implement various provisions originally set out under Regulation of the Government No. 29 of 2021 on the Organization of the Trade Sector, the Minister of Trade (“ Minister ”) recently issued Regulation No. 20 of 2021 on Import Policy and Provisions (“ Regulation 20/2021 ). [1] Previously, import policies and provisions were regulated under 39 different legal frameworks, all of which have now been repealed and replaced. [2] As a result, Regulation 20/2021 will now serve as an umbrella regulation that addresses all matters relating to import policies and provisions.
