On29 September 2025,Indonesia’s Constitutional Court (Mahkamah Konstitusi– “ MK ”) handed down Decision No. 96/PUU-XXII/2024 (“ Decision 96/2024 ”) in response to a petition for a judicial review of Law No. 4 of 2016 (“ Law 4/2016 ”) on the Public-Housing Savings (Tabungan Perumahan Rakyat– “ Tapera ”) Program. This petition had initially been submitted on 9 July 2024 by a labor union (“ Petitioner ”). [1]
