Monthly Report Submissions Now Mandatory for Imports of Livestock and Animal Products Originating from Quarantine-Risk Countries
Regulation of the Government No. 4 of 2016 , as most recently amended by Regulation of the Government No. 5 of 2025 (collectively referred to as “ Regulation 4/2016 ”), outlined a set of applicable requirements and mechanisms for imports of livestock and/or animal products. The various provisions set out under this framework include a mandate for State-Owned Enterprises (Badan Usaha Milik Negara– “ BUMN ”) and other businesses that engage in such imports to fulfill certain criteria (e.g. technical animal health and quarantine requirements), as well as to provide commitments regarding several matters (e.g. maintaining the availability of supplies and stable prices, as well as the distribution of livestock and/or animal products).
