The National Land Authority or BPN has been previously regulated in Presidential Decrees and Regulations in 2001 and 2005. This Regulation repeals the earlier provisions and has been issued to clarify the role and functions of the BPN, specifically as it relates to the national land policy and the aspirations and the role of the community in the pursuit of greater prosperity. In general, the Regulation,No. 10 or 2006, recognizes the intricate role land plays in the lives of the community, the nation, and the State.
