National Team to Handle the Sidoarjo Mud Flow

Presidential DecreeNo. 13 of 2006was issued on 8 September 2006 and recognizes that the mud flowing from the Banjar Panji-I well appears unlikely to cease any time soon. Furthermore, the ongoing social and natural disaster will require hands on management from myriad of government departments and agencies to be resolved, particularly in light of the significant infrastructure destruction and the ongoing displacement of local residents.
