Navigating the Complexities of Regional Asset Utilization

In order to implement mandates that relate to the authority of the Minister of Home Affairs (“ Minister ”) to set policy regarding the management of regional assets (“ Assets ”), the Minister previously issued Regulation No. 19 of 2016 on Guidelines for the Management of Regional Assets (“ Regulation 19/2016 ”). [1] However, since Regulation 19/2016 requires significant adjustment in order to bring it into line with current applicable laws, the Minister recently issued Regulation No. 7 of 2024 on the Amendment to Regulation 19/2016 (“ Amendment ”), which has been in force since 2 July 2024.
