New Audio-Video Product Standards: Updated SNI, Alternative Certification Mechanism and More

In 2018, the Minister of Industry (“ Minister ”) introduced Regulation No. 15 of 2018 (“ Regulation 15/2018 ”) on the Mandatory Implementation of the Indonesian National Standard (Standar Nasional Indonesia– “ SNI ”) for Audio, Video and Similar Electronics Products (collectively referred to as “ Audio-Video Products ”). [1] As its title suggests, Regulation 15/2018 outlined the applicable scope of said mandatory SNI compliance, as well as the required certification and markings for Audio-Video Products.
