New Licensing Provisions for Representatives of Securities Underwriters and Representatives of Securities Brokers

The Financial Services Authority (“ OJK ”) has issued Regulation on Licensing for the Representatives of Securities Underwriters and Representatives of Securities Brokers (“ Regulation 20/2018 ”).The same matters were previously addressed under Regulation of the OJK (“ Regulation 27/2014 ”) which has now been repealed and replaced by Regulation 20/2018. [1] In addition, Regulation 20/2018 also revokes Article 11 of Regulation of the OJK on Licensing Segmentation for Representatives of Securities Brokers. [2] Regulation 20/2018 updates the rules for Representatives of Securities Underwriters (Wakil Penjamin Emisi Efek– “ WPEE ”) and Representatives of Securities Brokers (Wakil Perantara Pedagang Efek- “ WPPE ”) and comprises the following sections:
