New Mechanism for Land Procurement for the Development of Irrigation Systems through the Use of Business-Entity Funding

Due to the fact that the development of irrigation systems is an activity which is classified as being nationally strategic, the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (“ Minister ”) recently issued Regulation on Procedures for the Initial Utilization of Business-Entity Funding for Land Procurement for the Development of Irrigation Systems (“ Regulation 25/2018 ”) in a bid to accelerate the development of irrigation systems across Indonesia. [1] In essence, Regulation 25/2018 sets out the procedure for the initial utilization of business-entity funding for land procurement for the development of irrigation systems (“ Business Funding ”).
