The Financial Service Authority (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan–“OJK”) has issued Regulation No. 24/POJK.04/2016 on Securities Brokerage Agencies(“2016 Regulation”). The 2016 Regulation has been issued in a bid by the OJK to optimize the marketing roles of securities brokerage agencies (“Brokerage Agencies”), which, it is hoped, will eventually bolster the total amount of investors in the Indonesian capital market.In essence, the 2016 Regulation stipulatesprovisionson the following matters:
