The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (“Ministry”) has updated its power purchase procedures and pricing structures through the issuance of Regulation No. 19 of 2017 on the Utilization of Coal for Power Plants and the Purchase of Excess Power (“Regulation 19/2017”).Regulation 19/2017 aims to optimize the use of coal and to improve power supplies within local electricity systems (sistem ketenagalistrikan setempat) by redefining two main provisions which relate to the following areas:
