As the government continues to improve licensing procedures across various business sectors, [1] the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (“ Minister ”) has now responded accordingly through the issuance of Regulation No. 54/KEPMEN-KP/2020 on Location Permits, Management Permits and Marine Location Permits (“ Regulation 54/2020 ”), which reforms licensing procedures relating to the utilization of resources within Indonesian waters.
