The Financial Service Authority (OJK) has issued Regulation No. 20/POJK.04/2015 on the Issuance of and Requirements for Asset-Backed Sharia Securities (“2015 Regulation”) in a bid to boost the sharia capital-market sector in Indonesia. [1] The 2015 Regulation sets out updated requirements relating to the issuance and management of asset-backed securities [2] which adhere to sharia principles.
