New Provisions on Borrow-to-Use Licensing Procedures

As part of a series of efforts aimed at accelerating the development of the non-forestry industrial sector within forest areas, [1] the government has issued Government Regulation No. 105 of 2015 (“Second Amendment”), which amends Government Regulation No. 24 of 2010 on Forest-Area Utilization (“2010 Regulation”).This Second Amendment makes changes to the basic provision relating to production within protected forest areas (“Forest Area”) for non-forestry industry.
