The government has issued Regulation No. 66 of 2015 on Museums (“2015 Regulation”) as an implementation of Article 18 (5) of Law No. 11 of 2010 on Cultural Heritage. The Regulation sets out guidelines for the setting up and organization of museums in Indonesia. Previously, these matters were covered under Government Regulation No. 19 of 1995 on the Maintenance and Utilization of Cultural-Heritage Collections at Museums (“1995 Regulation”).
