The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (“ Ministry ”) recently issued Regulation No. 18 of 2018 on Safety Checks of Installations and Equipment Used in Oil-and-Gas Business Activities (“ Regulation 18/2018 ”) with the ultimate aim of ensuring the safety and security of oil-and-gas installations and equipment through the implementation of effective safety checks.Regulation 18/2018 encompasses several provisions relating to the implementation of safety checks for oil-and-gas installations and equipment, as elaborated upon as follows:
