New Provisions on the Disbursement of JHT Program Benefits: Pensionable-Age Threshold Expanded and Disbursement Procedures Clarified

Earlier this year, the Minister of Manpower (“ Minister ”) issued Regulation No. 2 of 2022 on Procedures and Requirements for the Disbursement of Benefits from the Old-Age Insurance Program (“ Regulation 2/2022 ”). [1] In essence, Regulation 2/2022 was issued in order to revise various procedures and requirements that are applicable in relation to the disbursement of benefits from the Old-Age Insurance (Jaminan Hari Tua– “ JHT ”) Program, as previously addressed under Regulation of the Minister No. 19 of 2015 (“ Regulation 19/2015 ”).
