The Ministry of the Environment and Forestry (“Ministry”) has issued Regulation No. P.85/MENLHK/SETJEN/KUM.1/11/2016 on the Transportation of Cultivated Timber Products from Areas of Private Forest (“Regulation 85/2016”).Regulation 85/2016 sets out the various requirements and procedures which should be followed by any traditional communities, individuals or business entities which own areas of designated private forest as regards the utilization and transportation of timber products, as well as sanctions for any acts of noncompliance.Prior to the issuance of Regulation 85/2016, these matters were previously addressed by two different regulations:
