New Provisions on Wages Finally Issued

As Law No. 13 of 2003 on Manpower (“ Manpower Law ”) underwent some significant revisions through the issuance of Law No. 11 of 2020 on Job Creation (“ Job Creation Law ”), [1] the government has now issued several new implementing regulations to the Job Creation Law in order to accommodate said revisions. [2] These implementing regulations include the recently disseminated Regulation of the Government No. 36 of 2021 on Wages (“ Regulation 36/2021 ”), which updates the regulatory framework for the payment of wages to workers and which repeals and replaces the previous framework of Regulation of the Government No. 78 of 2015 on Wages [3] (“ Regulation 78/2015 ”).
