New Regulation May Restrict Supplies of Imported Fruits, Vegetables, and Plant-Based Medicines

Minister of Trade Regulation No. 30/M-DAG/PER/5/2012 (“Regulation”) on Importation of Horticultural Products was issued to implement Article 88 of Law No. 13 of 2010 on Horticulture (“Horticultural Law”). Article 88 (2) of the Horticultural Law stipulates that only importers who hold import licenses from the Minister of Trade may import horticultural products into Indonesia. The Regulation consists of 37 Articles and two appendices.
