The National Agency for Drug and Food Control (Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan– “ BPOM ”) has issued Regulation No. 27 of 2017 on the Registration of Processed Foods (“ Regulation 27/2017 ”) in order to accommodate new developments within the food industry [1] , as well as to update several provisions which were previously regulated under BPOM Regulation No. 12 of 2016 (“ Regulation 12/2016 ”), [2] including provisions which pertain to the following areas:
