New Regulatory Framework for the Determination of Customary Forests and Private Forests

In order to update provisions relating to the determination of customary forests and private forests so as to better meet the needs of Indonesian citizens, [1] the Minister of Environment and Forestry (“ Minister ”) has issued Regulation No. P.17/MENLHK/SETJEN/KUM/1/8/2020 (“ Regulation 17/2020 ”), which replaces and repeals Regulation of the Minister No. P 21/MENLHK/SETJEN/KUM.1/4/2019 on Customary Forests and Private Forests (“ Regulation 21/2019 ”).
