In a bid to further protect Indonesian trademarks, particularly those belonging to micro-, small- and medium-scale enterprises, applications for the registration of trademarks that are made in the country should now be completed in line with the globally recognized classifications and the descriptions of goods and services that apply in relation to said applications. [1] As such, the government has finally ratified the Nice Agreement concerning the International Classification of Goods and Services for the Purposes of Registering Trademarks (“ Agreement ”) through the issuance of Regulation of the President No. 10 of 2023 (“ Regulation 10/2023 ”).
