Back in 2014, the Minister of Manpower and Transmigration introduced Regulation No. 8 of 2014 (“ Regulation 8/2014 ”) on Guidelines for the Organization of Competency-Based Training (Pelatihan Berbasis Kompetensi Kerja– “ PBK ”). As its title suggests, Regulation 8/2014 served as a reference for use by training institutions run by various types of organizers (e.g. government agencies, business entities or individuals) in relation to the organization of PBK. [1] It should be noted that various PBK-related requirements that featured under the framework of Regulation 8/2014 were briefly summarized in the following edition of Indonesian Legal Brief (“ ILB ”): “ Organizing Professional Competency-Based Training ”.
