The Minister of Agriculture (“ Minister ”) has updated provisions that address the importation of boneless meat products under certain circumstances from countries or zones located within countries of origin through the issuance of Regulation No. 17 of 2022 (“ Regulation 17/2022 ”), which now allows said imports to be undertaken by business actors (“ Business Actors ”) other than State-Owned Enterprises (Badan Usaha Milik Negara– “ BUMN ”). This new regulation has been in force since 2 December 2022. Previously, these matters were addressed under No. 17/Permentan/PK.450/5/2016 (“ Regulation 450/2016 ”), which has now been replaced and repealed. [1]
