In 2020, the National Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan– “ BPOM ”) issued Regulation No. 26 of 2020 (“ Regulation 26/2020 ”) on Requirements and Procedures for the Submission of Applications for Analysis of Supervision Results (Analisa Hasil Pengawasan– “ AHP ”) for Imports and Exports of Narcotics, Psychotropics and Pharmaceutical Precursors (collectively referred to as “ Drugs ”). However, in an effort to ensure that the applicable mechanism for AHP for imports of Drugs is in line with current legal requirements, the BPOM has now decided to update the framework for AHP for Drugs through the issuance of Regulation No. 1 of 2024 , which bears the same title as Regulation 26/2020 (“ Regulation 1/2024 ”) and which is set to come into force on 29 July 2024.
