OJK Introduces the Legal Framework for Equity Crowdfunding

Finally, after a wait of almost two years since the initial introduction of the current legal framework for Peer-to-Peer Lending (“ P2P Lending ”), the Financial Services Authority (“ OJK ”) has introduced another new legal framework which specifically addresses the area of financial technology through the issuance of Regulation on Information-Technology-Based Crowdfunding Services via Public Offerings (Equity Crowdfunding) (“ Regulation 37/2018 ”).
