The Ministry of Transportation (“ Ministry ”) recently issued Regulation No. PM 23 of 2018 on Online Services for Transportation Licensing at the Directorate General of Land Transportation (“ Regulation 23/2018 ”), with the ultimate aim of expediting transportation licensing services at the Directorate General of Land Transportation.In order to achieve this goal, the Ministry has established the Transportation and Multimode Online Licensing Information System (Sistem Informasi Perizinan Online Angkutan dan Multimoda– “ SPIONAM ”), an online platform which can be utilized in order to apply for various types of transportation license.Regulation 23/2018 addresses two main areas, as follows:
