In a bid to ensure the safety of all users of battery-powered electric motor-vehicles (“ Battery-Powered Electric Vehicles ”) and in order to support the Battery-Powered Electric Vehicles program, the Minister of Transportation (“ Minister ”) has issued Regulation No. PM 87 of 2020 on the Physical Testing of Battery-Powered Electric Motor-Vehicles (“ Regulation 87/2020 ”), which requires all Battery-Powered Electric Vehicles to undergo additional processes of physical testing (“ Additional Testing ”), in addition to the physical testing regime originally mandated under Regulation of the Minister No. PM 33 of 2018 on the Testing of Motor Vehicles, which was amended through the issuance of Regulation No. 30 of 2020 (“ Regulation 33/2018 ”).
