The legal framework which addresses the importation of salt has once again been updated by the Minister of Trade (“ Minister ”) through the issuance of Regulation No. 63 of 2019 on Import Provisions for Salt (“ Regulation 63/2019 ”). This new framework has been issued as an implementing regulation of Regulation of the Government No. 9 of 2018 on Procedures for the Control of Imports of Fisheries and Salt Commodities to Be Used as Industrial Raw Materials and Auxiliary Materials (“ Regulation 9/2018 ”).
