In an attempt to support land procurement which is undertaken in the public interest, [1] the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (“ Minister ”) recently issued Regulation No. 20 of 2020 on the Procedure for the Drafting of Land Procurement Planning Documents (“ Regulation 20/2020 ”), which sets out a detailed procedure for the drafting of Land Procurement Planning Documents (Dokumen Perencanaan Pengadaan Tanah– “ DPPT ”). DPPT are to be used by government agencies or by state-owned enterprises (“ Agencies ”) in order to procure land procurement objects (e.g. land, buildings, plants or other land-related objects) in the public interest. [2]
