The government has finally unified provisions which relate to procedures for land freezes (blokir) and land seizures (sita) through the issuance of Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (“Ministry/BPN”) Regulation No. 13 of 2017 on Procedures for Land Freezes and Land Seizures (“Regulation 13/2017”).All provisions relating to procedures for land freezes and land seizures which are regulated under a number of already existing regulations will continue to prevail however, as long as they are in accordance with Regulation 13/2017.
