Procedures for Placements of Indonesian Migrant Workers Redefined

The Minister of Manpower (“ Minister ”) has issued Regulation No. 9 of 2019 on Procedures for the Placement of Indonesian Migrant Workers (“ Regulation 9/2019 ”) in order to implement the mandate set out under Law No. 18 of 2017 on the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers. [1] Previously, similar matters were addressed under Regulation of the Minister No. 22 of 2014 on Implementation of the Placement and Protection of Indonesian Workers Abroad (“ Previous Regulation ”).
