Procedures for the Granting of Government Guarantees to Accelerate the Implementation of Nationally Strategic Projects Updated

As a part of efforts aimed at supporting the accelerated development of national infrastructure projects, the government may provide certain guarantees, the granting procedures for which were previously addressed under Regulation of the Minister of Finance (“ Minister ”) No. 60/PMK.08/2017 (“ Regulation 60/2017 ”). Now, as such projects continue to develop and as mandated under Regulation of the Government No. 42 of 2021 on Facilities for Nationally Strategic Projects, [1] the Minister has issued Regulation No. 30/PMK.08/2021 on Procedures for the Granting of Central Government Guarantees for the Acceleration of the Implementation of Nationally Strategic Projects (“ Regulation 30/2021 ”), which sets out updated and improved guarantee-granting procedures and schemes. As a consequence, Regulation 30/2021 has now repealed and replaced Regulation 60/2017. [2]
