Towards the end of 2016, the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (“Ministry”) issued Regulation No. 61 of 2016 on Procedures for the Imposition of Administrative Sanctions upon Notaries (“Regulation 61/2016”), which were formulated by the government some time ago but which have only just recently been publicly circulated.Regulation 61/2016 represents an implementation of Article 91A of Law No. 2 of 2014 [1] on the Amendment to Law No. 30 of 2004 on Notaries (collectively referred to as the“Notary Law”), [2] which required further provisions to be set out pertaining to the following areas:
