Procedures for the Imposition of Import-Duty Tariffs for Import of Goods from ASEAN Countries Updated

With the First Protocol of the ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement (“ ATIGA ”) now in force, the Minister of Trade (“ Minister ”) recently issued Regulation No. 131/PMK.04/2020 of 2020 on Procedures for the Imposition of Import-Duty Tariffs upon Imported Goods in Accordance with the ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement (“ Regulation 131/2020 ”). The new regulatory framework accommodates a number of changes in terms of the imposition of import-duty tariffs upon imports of goods from other ASEAN member countries, as specifically addressed under the first protocol.
