In 2022, the government officially unveiled Regulation of the Government No. 24 of 2022 (“ Regulation 24/2022 ”) [1] as an implementing regulation to Law No. 24 of 2019 on Creative Economy. Broadly speaking, Regulation 24/2022 addressed a wide range of matters relating to government efforts to facilitate Intellectual Property (“ IP ”) based financing (“ IP-Based Financing ”) [2] schemes for use by creative economy actors through banks and non-bank financial institutions (collectively referred to as “ Financial Institutions ”).
